NSU Center Arena, Miami, FL (ESPN 2) Glen Johnson (49-13-2, 33 KOs) vs. Yusaf Mack (28-2-2, 17 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Johnson 8-5. Mack has never lived up to potential. Both fighters in “must” win situation.
Chumash Casino, Santa Ynez, CA
(Showtime) Freddy Hernandez (27-1, 18 KOs) vs. Demarcus Corley (36-12-1, 21 KOs) Odds/Prediction: FH 3-1. Corley hasn’t won a fight in years! Losing streak continues here. Dropping $900 to win $300.

Arena Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico (Showtime) Edwin Valero (26-0, 26 KOs) vs. Antonio DeMarco (23-1-1,17 KOs) (WBC 135 lb title) Odds/Prediction: Valero 4-1. Can you say 27 & 0, 27 KOs? DeMarco game, but he too will fall. $800 to win $200. Luis Abregu (28-0, 23 KOs) vs. Richard Gutierrez (24-3-1, 14 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Abregu 11-5. Gutierrez has a shot I think. Marvin Quintero (18-2, 14 KOs) vs. Luis Gonzalez (14-1-1, 8 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Quintero 4 ½ to 1. Looks like distinct class advantage to favorite.
Convention Center, McAllen, TX (FOX Sports) Brandon Rios (23-0-1, 17 KOs) vs. Jorge Teron (23-1-1, 15 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Rios 3-1. Unbeaten to stay that way! Tomas Villa (21-6-4, 14 KOs) vs. Juan Ruiz (23-5, 7 KOs) Odds/Prediction: TV 5-1. Villa better all the way around.
Prudential Center, Newark, NJ Tomasz Adamek (39-1, 27 KOs) vs. Jason Estrada (16-2, 4 KOs) Odds/Prediction: Adamek 8-1. Looks like Estrada is “dead meat” here. Dropping $800 to win $100.

Not sold on Adamek as a heavy weight…he’s slow and will be slower at heavyweight, suspect defense and Estrada has and had an 8 week training camp. Adamek should have stayed at cruiserweight. Adamek is a very good fighter, they should have matched him up with Haye. Even though Estrada can’t punch he’s got good handspeed a solid chin and appears to be in his prime. I see an upset here and this is a fight I would like to see. Is this on US TV? Adamak has always had a problem with speedy fighters-Dawson, Briggs and Cunningham, the ponly difference here is that he’s fighting a full fledged heavyweight thats not 40 years old like Golata. That fight I believe gave him and his handlers a false sense of security about Tomas’s chances at heavyweight. They might be making a mistake this time if Estrada is being underestimated. I am surprised that Pedro would have Adamak as such a heavy favorite considering his great hjandicapping skills…sorry I have to go the other way this time Pete!
K killA estrada got no pop ademek should do well. We will see
Adamek easy KO victory.
Pedro was spot-on with his picks! nice work.
