VITALI KLITSCHKO-CHRIS ARREOLA DONE!

Las Vegas, NV- Vitali Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs) will defend his WBC title against the dangerous American Chris Arreola (27-0, 24 KOs). The venue will be the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on September 26th. If Arreola comes in shape the elder Klitschko brother could have his hands full. Arreola has been known to have weight issues in the past, but I’m sure he will be up for this attempt to capture the world title.

WHO WINS HERE?

I THINK CHRIS HAS A GREAT CHANCE, HE NEEDS TO BE IN THE BEST SHAPE OF HIS LIFE, WORK THE BODY THEN THROW THEM VICIOUS UPPER CUTS…. I SAY CHRIS ARREOLA IN 8 ROUNDS. GO LUCK CHRIS

It would be a miracle if Aerrola won. It would be equivalent to Douglas-Tyson.

Arreola can’t possibly believe he has a chance in hell. It will be a good payday for Chris (and short). Vitali is too big too strong and too fast, that is a bad and painfull fact for Arreola. David Haye made a smart decision chickening out of BOTH Klitschko fights, a decision Arreola should consider. Vitali wins by TKO in 4.

  • avatar

I read somewhere else that Chambers and Wlad is in the making. If both Klitschkos win, I wouldn’t mind seeing a scrap between chambers and arreola… If just one of the brothers win, that sets up a mega fight for revenge! No matter how you slice it, this is a win win for fight fans if Chambers and Wlad come into fruition!

Arreola should have fought Eddie Chambers and the winner could get either of the Klitschkos. They are both under Dan Goosen promotions so that could have made sense.

Anyway, Arreola will try to catch Vitali, but will fail miserably and after absorbing too many shots, he will go down from exhaustion or the referee will stop it.

Eddie chambers and David Haye have a much better chance against eeither of the Klitschko’s. Arreola is an HBO bubble!

  • avatar

They should have let John Ruiz fight Chris and the winner of that fight Kiltsko. Which would of been Ruiz..Puerto Ricans held the heavy weight title first ..Never a Mexican.. stick to the lucha libre FATSO.Or stick to the illegal hand wraps LOL

  • avatar

I am not either mexican or From that part of the world klit is from but I do not see Chris beating Klit but hey someone gots to stop that buritto for now..Klit wins on jabs all night..

  • avatar

I am Mexican, and will admit that Klitschko will have no problem with Arreola.
My prediction is that anyone watching will get Sam Peter vs. Klitschko deja-vu.
Mid-stoppage TKO, either by referee, Arreolas corner, or like Peter, Arreola himself.

Vitali will win Arreola by TKO

  • avatar

vitali will KO chris arreola! reach, height, boxing skills does matter! vitali has all that!

  • avatar

Dino and Mike are full of dog do,there just wishing the giant would win,but they know he cant step to a heavyweight Mexican

  • avatar

vitali on KO in round 8.

  • avatar

Chris is gonna get knocked out. He will be interesting for a few rounds and then Klitschko will be on auto pilot with big crosses, jabs and hooks ala the Sam Peter fight!

Areolla is what Americas been wanting the title back,(a hispanic causing panic)
Areolaa K.O. via knockout 4th,anyone disagrreing suck it,

    God Bless America

  • avatar

I seen two fights of Areolla, the McCline fight was nothing special McCline has been way passed his prime. Vitaly will make win and take this guy out in the 7th or early 8th K.O. Although I will be going for Areolla to win..I want the titles back in the U.S…

It is about time a descent heavyweight fight is taking place. I thought David Haye was going to step up, I guess the boxing contract wasn’t to his benefit. Maybe next time. I think Chris has a good shot at winning the fight. He needs to set the pace at the beginning of the fight. He must make Vitali fight on his heels.

  • avatar

Vitali will be ahead in the fight when Chris knocks him out. It’s gonna take a few rounds for Arreola to adjust to Vitali’s akward style but he will keep the pressure coming all night long. It might look like a mismatch to some but Arreola will knock Vitali out in dramatic fashion sometime between the 8th and 10th.

  • avatar

Speaking of David Haye, too bad Haye and Arreola could not have fought first with the winner fighting VK. That would have been a barn-burner and a pick ‘em fight.

  • avatar

HBO of course is praying that “The Nipple” wins, it would be a goldmine for boxing, as Hispanics make up such a large part of the boxing audience now.

It would, however, be a miracle if a fat, network-created hype job, lasted five rounds with Klitschko.

    Keep dreaming.

    Aerola will get anhilliated.

Arreola knocks that chump out!!!!!! and i’m bettin’ on it!!!!

SCR– it raises hopes for a real fight, probably better than the aborted David Haye fight. Though like many others, I think Arreola is not ready, it could force him to the next level. I recall that Ali (then Clay) seemed much too immature after the Doug Jones and Henry Cooper fights to get into the ring with Liston, but he rose to the occasion, and was a greater fighter after that. Chris is no Ali, but Klitschko is no Liston. Could get interesting.

  • avatar

Hey guys, sorry to disappoint Mexicant out there. But Chris has no chance against Vitali. First of all Klitschko is way smarter and skilled then Chris. I just suggest Chris to stop eating burritos and get in shape. Vitali will destroy him like a fat over weighted Mexicant. This is not lightweight Mexcants. I respect your culture, but don’t even try to compare Chris to KLITSCHKO………keep dreaming

  • avatar

Areolla is a B fighter.Vitalli will wear him down with a devestating job and defense. If this is the American hope, we are in trouble.I would bet all I had on this one.

  • avatar

I agree with the comments that Areola, while a decent boxer, is out of his depth here. I don’t think that he’s fast enough, or has the overall body movement to get around the punishing jab and get in close enough to hurt Klitschko. The only thing that could dramatically change things is if Klitschko’s age shows.

  • avatar

Finally!!! A heavyweight title fight we can get excited about!!! Give ‘em Hell Chris!!!!

  • avatar

Vitali has a tougher chin than Wlad, and so the lucky-punch chance of Arreola will be minimized. Ought to be another Klitschko night, but I can’t help feeling K is closer to the end of his career than most realize. His comeback has been OK so far, thanks to his focus, experience and dedication, but something about his overall performances have suggested to me he could be ripening for a determined harvester.

Goossen-Tutor says they will officially announce this probably next week! Go Chris!

  • avatar

    Another easy KO for Klitscho!
This remind me of Michael Grant v. Lennox Lewis… KO2

  • avatar

Its time for a American to bring back the championship to the USA. Me being Mexican American desent makes the possibility of this acually happening even more exciting. Chris will be the first mexican heavy weight champion! I cant wait. I believe he has a serious shot at not only a win, but a win by knock out! Chris has a task at hand, he’s got to move and get away from vitalis’ jab. I believe chris will make history.

  • avatar

    klitschko KO 1.

  • avatar

Well it’s gonna be a good fight that’s 4 sure and I know it’s gonna end in a knock out I think the nightmare would of had a better chance againts the other brother but hopefully he wins and makes history by being the first Mexican heavyweight man it’s gonna be good to witness history!!!

  • avatar

Ima try and definitely grab some tix for this one fasho! I would have liked to see arreola in thier with fast eddie chambers first though, cause i think he might be biting off more than he can chew on this one…I hope he proves me wrong cause he is definitely one of the more exciting current heavyweights.Too bad more exciting does not not necessarily include being the better figther…Mad props in taking such a tough fight! I still will be a fan regarding if he loses or not, unlike some fans that like to throw fighters that lose into the fire right away…

  • avatar

I’ll go out on a limb here and pick Arreola by late round kayo. At the very least, Arreola will be gunning it. Vitali is a slow starter, and i think Chris will attack that body very early to try to chop down the big aging giant. Of course, Chris has to be well conditioned for this fight in order to do so. Oh, and Chris isn’t overrated. If you want overrated, Haye is the undisputed king of overrated .

  • avatar

I like Arreola, he is an entertaining boxer. But the truth is that Vitali will knock him out silly. Mark my words.

Another whale is about to get harpooned…..expect a taco factory to spill on the floor when they butcher that carcass…

ARREOLA BY 9TH RD KO, V. KLITSCHKO IS DA BEST HEAVYWEIGHT OUTHERE, BUT LIKE HIM AND HIS BROTHER WLAD, THEY CANT TAKE THE PREASSURE, AND THATS WHAT ARREOLA DOES AND ARREOLA HAS A GOOD PUNCH, BUT,, IN ORDER FOR ARREOLA TO HAVE SUCH A GOOD CHANCE LIKE AM GIVING HIM HE WILL NEED TO BE AT 240 OR LESS TOP NOTCH SHAPE TO TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS AND I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT THAT HE IS GUNA FUK DAT UP, I MEAN I JUST SAW HIM THE OTHER DAY THE GUY IS SLIM AM TELLING YAW HE IS TRAINING HARD, HE WILL KO V. AND W. KLITSCHKO.

  • avatar

    Staged massacre.

The fat HBO-created fighter gets humiliated then put down in less than five.

  • avatar

Arreola has done nothing to deserve this chance, and I cannot see what all the fuss is about. I have seen two of Arreola’s fights, and in both cases he looked pretty ordinary. Vitali wins this easy and fast

  • avatar

Vitali is good but old..Klitchko either guy barely gets hit in their fights…Arreola however is a heavyweight fighter with heavy hands, handspeed and combo punching…he looks fat, but he still gets busy in there and mixes it up. I give him a legit shot of he can land his power shots in consistently. It’s not like Vitali is fast, he just utilizes his height well. I believe that Arreola will at least attempt to go out on his shield, and Vitali’s KO record is decieving…he rarely knocks guys out with one shot who usually wears down guys who are inferior when it comes to size…remember Corey sanders gave him a lot of trouble early and Sanders at best was a part time fighter looking for a home run and it took him eight rounds to get rid of him. Arreolas people see something in him and his KO of Mc Cline was more impressive than any one else’s regardless of when it happened.

  • avatar

Despite his KO record, I don’t think Arreola has one-punch knockout power. Vitali almost verges on one punch and lights out. He certainly has enough power to make whoever’s in the ring with him get severe doubts about the wisdom of taking his punishment.

    If you boil it down:
Vitali has an iron chin versus Arreola’s chin being somewhat suspect

Unless you’re Lennox Lewis, Vitali is very hard to hit cleanly versus Arreola being too easy to hit

Arreola looks like he can punch but his true power is uncertain versus Vitali’s power being a given and frightening

Vitali is awkward but a natural fighter who instinctively controls distance and has instinctively good (though unconventional) footwork. He’s able to punch clean, straight and fast, but also punches from unconventional angles. His stamina is good and chin very, very good. He’s huge and he’s a puzzle.

Too much of a puzzle, even at his age, for Arreola.

  • avatar

I saw his fight against McCline and wasn’t impressed. I think he has bitten off more than he can chew with Vitali. I’m thinking Vitali by TKO in the 9th.

  • avatar

with a 27 win, 24 by KO by Arreola, and Klitschko with 37 wins, 36 by KO, a sensational KO by either will bring back the glory days to the heavyweights. Enough of these sleeper ho hum matches in this division that has prevailed in the past years.
