EPISODE ONE PREVIEW
Guys, my opinion of this fight is simple: the only chance of winning that Canelo has, is putting pressure on Floyd for 12 rounds. If he is weakened from cutting weight he has absolutely no chance of winning ( besides the proverbial lucky punch ). He can not out box Floyd!!!! In reality, he would be lucky to hit Floyd with a handful of rice!!! This fight won’t be much different than the Marquez or Guerrero fights. I wouldn’t pay 2 cents to watch this fight, ( I will watch for free ) but it is another fraud perpetrated on the boxing public, which is contributing to boxing’s decline.
Good fight to bet on Mayweather at -255 in Vegas. Canelo is a decent fighter, but Austin trout beat Cotto, a blown up 140lber and no one else. Canelo’s beaten a bunch of C level, old and blown-up small guys. If he ha beaten some solid boxers at 154, lets say someone like Lara, I’d give him a shot. he barely beat Trout, and Floyd can stink the joint out if he so desires. However I think Floyd knows Canelo isn’t ready. He isn’t much bigger, way slower, and Floyd if properly motivated could get a KO. On paper Canelo looks good, but Floyd is in another league. Floyd’s footwork is amazing, and to top it off Floyd can take a punch. Barring a one punch lucky shot that Floyd doesn’t see coming I just don’t see how Canelo can win. I mean he hasn’t stopped a credible opponent yet. If he couldn’t get rid of trout, I just don’t see how he stops the best defensive fighter in boxing. This will be a replay of Donaire vs Rigondeaux minus the knockdown. The judges will have it somewhat close and give Canelo a couple of pity rounds, but Floyd will dominate overall and down the stretch.
