PEDRO’S LOOKS TO FIGHT ADAM COROLLA!
CAN WE AGREE THAT ADAM COROLLA NEEDS HIS ASS KICKED?
San Francisco, CA- In the history of covering the sport of boxing, there was always one athlete that stood out for one reason or another. The first black heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson and his having sex with white women, Joe Louis because he was a hero figure vs. the Nazis, Ali for his personality, I can go on and on. But today the spotlight is on Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino fireball who has shredded his opposition for nearly a decade straight.
SOME COMMENTS SO BAD I WOULDNâT REPEAT âEM
That being said, I thought the commentary put forth by Adam Corrola, a somewhat famous radio talk show host, was some of the most ***** up bile in the history of the Internet. Said Corrola, âAll you fu**in got is just an illiterate guy who happens to smash other guys in the head better than other people. Really, you want some guy with brain damage running your country? Why donât you get your sh*t together?â Adam go so low that it’s obvious Mr. Corrola has never been to the Philippines.
PUNK ASS COROLLA BEING CALLED OUT HERE
Hey Adam, I throw rocks at people for a living, and sometimes that includes Manny Pacquiao and his flock. But the manner in which you went after our sportâs MVP was so deplorable that I challenge you to a three round fight. We can do two minute rounds, three minute rounds, oh, and you can weigh whatever you want.
YOU FANS CAN GET THIS CHALLENGE TO ADAM
Iâm expecting the Pac fans/nuts to insure that my wanting to fight and publicly humiliate Adam Corolla is brought to his attention. Seeing Manny is busy, Iâve got plenty of time and Iâm in good enough condition that we can dance whenever the creep wants too!

BOB ARUM ENSHRINED ON “WALL OF SHAME”
THE SHEIK JOINS THE “WALL OF SHAME”
Las Vegas, NV- Bob Arum is the most powerful man in boxing! As the man behind the Top Rank promotional firm, Arum, a Harvard graduate in the late 1950s, became a United States Attorney under then Attorney General Robert Kennedy. While collecting tax money from a Sonny Liston heavyweight title defense circa 1962, Arum was bitten by the boxing bug. After the assassination of President John Kennedy, Arum felt the need to resign his position with the “G” and became a boxing promoter.
PUT THIS “QUOTE” ON ARUM’S TOMBSTONE!
With Muhammad Ali his first client, Arum has been involved in big fights since the mid 1960s. His most famous quote is, “Yesterday I was lying, but today I’m telling the truth.”
MET WITH & THEN SENT BRIBE MONEY TO LEE
In the mid 1990s, Arum committed a host of Felonies when he admittedly gave then IBF President Bob Lee over $100,000 as a “bribe” to allow George Foreman, then heavyweight champ, to fight Axel Schultz instead of a top contender. He accomplished this by laundering the money through Europe with then booking agent Stan Hoffman. Shortly thereafter, Arum admitted such in a US Dept. of Justice affidavit that was published here at RingTalk.com. The fallout saw Arum fined in a number of states, while unable to promote in Arizona.
ARUM SUED IN LAS VEGAS
This writer sued Arum after he was quoted in a Las Vegas newspaper stating, “He (Pedro Fernandez) isn’t a real boxing writer.” Arum settled out of court for $10,000.
“THE SHEIK” IS WORTH BETTER THAN $200 MILLION
Now close to 80 years of age, Arum is still the most powerful man in boxing! One could only debate whether that would be the case if Don King had admitted to such crimes. We welcome Bob “The Sheik” Arum to the Ring Talk “Wall of Shame.”

SEAN GIBBONS MORE DESERVING THAN MOST
Las Vegas, NV- If you were to categorize boxing agent/cornerman Sean Gibbons, with the exception of being a decent parent, it would probably not be anything of a positive nature. A one time Coke fiend, Gibbons was named by the Oklahoma Atty. General as a centerpiece in a broad investigation confirming that Oklahoma boxing was corrupt to the bone. Then the FBI has him on tape fixing a fight, in addition to the statement of Dwayne Swift, who told me that Gibbons took him to Mexico where he threw a fight. The bottom line is that Gibbons is a piece of…..shall we say work!
As a major cog in the Operation Matchbox sting that went down the tubes because of a couple of dirty cops, in addition to government interference, Gibbons is still in boxing and making a decent living at that. Personality aside, Sean is to boxing what “Pigpen” was to the Charlie Brown cartoon series. It is with a great sense of disgust that we induct Sean into the Ring Talk’s “Wall of Shame.”

MARY ROSE WILCOX: FIRST POLITICO ON WALL!
San Francisco, CA- To call Maricopa County (Phoenix, AZ) Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox a snake isn’t fair to snakes. Having thrown writer Pedro Fernandez out of a Arizona Boxing Commission meeting she was chairing a couple of years ago when Fernandez stood up and read the “rules” of the meeting to the Ombudsman, who told Wilcox that she had to discuss the suspension of boxer “Yory Boy” Campas in public, this as she and Asst. Director John Montano (recently resigned) were going into a private room to do so, she is apparently now on the hot seat with the Maricopa County Sheriff, as well as the FBI. We can only hope she ends up rotting in jail!

PANAMA LEWIS: RING TALK “WALL OF SHAME” FIRST INDUCTEE!
âPANAMAâ LEWIS DID THIS TO BILLY COLLINS!
San Francisco, CA- There is probably no man vilified more in boxing in recent years than Carlos âPanamaâ Lewis. A brilliant mind who studied under the great Ray Arcel, Chickie Ferrara, as well as Freddie Brown, Panama Lewis was one of the best trainers âpound for poundâ in the early 1980s. But as we have come to know there is a dark side to Panama Lewis, one that reared its ugly head on June 16, 1983.
IT WAS PANAMA & âTHE SPECIAL MIXâ
Seven months after asking for that, âSpecial bottleâŚthe one I mix,â just prior to the 14th round in which Aaron Pryor finished off Alexis Arguello on November 12, 1982, Panama was in the corner of rugged club fighter Luis Resto vs. Billy Collins UNDR Roberto Duran-Davey Moore June 16, 1983. Before the fight, Panama removed an ounce of stuffing/padding out of each of Restoâs gloves, something the fighter now claims Lewis had done on other occasions.
RESTO CLAIMS MORE IN RECENT YEARS
In addition, Resto now claims that Lewis put a âplaster of Parisâ substance in his hand wraps (can we all say, Antonio Margarito), thus when the late Billy Collins said between rounds that it felt like he was âgetting hit with ashtrays,â he wasnât embellishing matters. Panama Lewis spent 2.5 years in prison after being convicted of assault, criminal possession of a weapon (Resto’s hands) and conspiracy.

STILL MAKES A LIVING TRAINING
Although Lewis continues to train fighters here and there, he is banned from working a corner in every jurisdiction but the state of Pennsylvania. When I last heard, Panama, now nearing 60, was living in Las Vegas and not in great health. For ruining Billy Collinâs career as a fighter, which caused depression which probably led to his death by car accident some nine months later, Panama Lewis (pictured below) is the first inductee to the RingTalk.com âWall of Shame.â
