Cheaters never prosper (very long) and this is bull-shit. To not give your own boxer 100% support from jock to water is a disgrace. Burried is the villan but those still breathing, should be damned ashamed................................

So WHY are we not 'Nationalizing the Sport'??? Don King says that 'Nationalizing' would remove some of the "entreprenurial aspect" of the sport - like the aforementioned incident with the shoes??

Jack, I'm glad you brought up Max Boxing. Can you read & comment please on the most recent article titled, Senator On AZ Commission scandal. I went to the big websites for help on this series of stories and they won't even return my email.

Having a background in a few areas (automotive refinishing, race cars and boxing) that one night led a little crossing of ideas as I watched two main event fighters tripping on the painted advertisements on the ring canvas... I could do something about this... And I went to work in the garage. This was an idea that Doug Fischer listened to and said he was fascinated by the potential of because if I could get this to work, my intent was to sell it through MaxBoxing.

Today I have no such drive nor any desire... But someone else may so I'm throwing this one up for grabs and hopefully someone out there can do something with it...

Originally I was considering a transparent coating to be applied to the painted on ring apron surfaces that hold water and create those slip hazards. After some consideration I came to the conclusion that the shoes were probably the better area to focus on. But in the meantime, I came up with a concoction that showed some damn amazing potential.

Using Du Pont Automotive 7600 clear (which at the time was the fastest clear on the market), with glass shot beads (what you would find in a machine shop cleaning equipment) in an agitated state; WILL pass through automotive quality spray equipment and because viscosity is not effected (the shot beads will not deteriorate in this chemical solution)... Because viscosity, drying times, spraying rules and all the other rules of automotive spraying still apply... All the do's and the don'ts... You can come up with some pretty crazy stuff if you know your way around a paint gun and believe me, I DID!!! -- You do need to at least understand the principles of color matching multi color stage paints in order to do this.

I had textures applied on smooth wet surfaces that were grabbing like combat boots the second you put real pressure on them but would still slip and slide when you weren't locked down. I was onto some pretty cool stuff here. This story made me think about those days when unlike the F-ING prick who sold Gerardo out... I was trying to help guys (albeit back then, I wanted to be paid for it... LOL) ... Today I don't care.

My big falling out with this... And why I threw the project into the dumper... I couldn't find a fighter who was willing to work with me on development.

PS The lubricant wouldn't have gotten through the stuff I came up with. No way in hell. It would have been like spraying your car fender with WD40. Two wipes from a rag, it was never there.

They tried both! The box and the knife, the lubricant was so prevalent that it didn't matter.

Years ago they used to have a "rosin box" that fighters would use to rub the soles of their shoes into. Another trick was to use a knife to rough up the soles.
