BUSY WEEKEND IN BOXING & THE UFC TOO!

San Francisco, CA- There was a plethora of action this weekend, both in the boxing ring and the UFC battle cage, the Octagon. On this-one hour Sunday edition of “Ring Talk Boxing & MMA,” the Friday and Saturday nights fights on Showtime were covered, as well as the ESPN 2 card. As for UFC 145, the event that saw UFC light heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones all but shut out Rashad Evans over five-five minute rounds. “RING TALK BOXING & MMA” AIRS “LIVE” ON BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY

On Saturday, “Ring Talk,” the longest running fight show in history airs a two-hour program with one hour on boxing and one hour on the UFC, Strikeforce, and the rest of the MMA world at 11:05 AM PT. On Sunday, same time, same channel, “Ring Talk” does one hour combining both boxing & the MMA world.   1. Cotto won’t get stopped because Mayweather can’t punch hard enough, plus Mayweather has that safety first style. Mayweather’s knockout of Ortiz was a fluke as I still believe Headcase Ortiz took a dive in that fight.Cotto’s jab will be needed for him to have a chance. The jab will be needed to open up Mayweather. Cotto’s slower but jabbing is about timing, not just speed. Cotto has a slight chance if Mayweather ages from inactivity.
