San Francisco, CA- The “Ring Talk Boxing Hour” featured soon to be light heavyweight Chad Dawson. With nothing positive to say about Bernard Hopkins, I think that if Chad is focused he can halt Hopkins inside the 12-round distance or darn near shut him out. Chad talked about acting, Hopkins’ body language, as well as other topics including, “Performance Enhancment Drugs.” I went through the boxing news of the day and our own staff writer Kevin “KP” Perry chimed in on this week’s fights, as well as the May 5 contest between Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto. 1. Hey Pedro, It,s your ole buddy Billy Tavake,Good call on Bad Chad beating Hopkins. He was very impressive while he was training in St. Boxing Club.I believe the reason he left was because Dan The Man’Birmingham was too busy with Winky and Left hook Lacy,so he went to Mayweather Sr. and found out what a wack job he was. I believe Chad just needs to be more confident in his own abilities and be more aggressive. If he wants to put butts in seats he needs to bring it and stop being so safty first. The problem with these right-handed southpaws is that they don’t hook the left hand like another right-handed southpaw, Pacman.Looking forward to seeing more kayoes from Bad Chad.

  2. Wow, Billy Tavake! I remember the days of our training before winning Golden Glove tites at the SSF Boys Club. I introduced your brother Ray to a crowd at USF a couple of years ago when I was announcing the Collegiate championships. The Tavake bros. were great fighters. I heard you went back to Samoa, that was the last I heard about you. Hope you are well!
