hmmm...I understand your point Jack, his weight progression doesn't seem unusual. I have a friend that weighed around 160(close to my current weight ) in highschool and is 32 now and weight easily over 200 pounds. However I have maintained my weight about the same as highschool. I don't think it's anything unusual for Pac to have gained that weight over time, what is unusual is how he is disting these guys at higher weights. the conclusion I have drawn is that because Pac has moved up he has been fighting fighters who are a lot slower than his counterparts at lower weights. His footwork is also vastly improved and he has been able to maintain punching power due to the speed advantage he posesses. What people fail to realize is that it isn't like all of a sudden he started to drill guys. He knocked down Marquez Barrera and Morales a total of 8 times! None of his Ko's have really been because of any one blow, they are accumilation (except Hatton). I think what he's doing is remarkable but not impossible, with or without steroids or PED's.

I know the show started late (technical problems) but I couldn't find it on Justin tv, technical problem? Pedro, you and Paulie talking about the steroid issue with Pacquiao made me think. Part of your case for steroid use is the weight progression arguement, which I can de-bunk here. Understand, I have no guarantee that he hasn't taken steroids but the weight progresson arguement doesn't hold up.
y.o. 1-22-95 @ 106 lbs. he fights 10 times with a high weight of 110 lbs.
y.o. 1996 he fights 7 times ( 1 fight @ 18 y.o.) high weight 116 lbs.
y.o. 1997 he fights 6 times with high weight 114 lbs.
y.o. 1998 he fights 2 times with high weight 114 lbs.
y.o. 1999 he fights 4 times ( 1 fight @ 21 y.o.) high weight 122 lbs.
y.o. 2000 he fights 3 times with high weight 121 3/4 lbs.
y.o. 2001 he fights 4 times with high weight 122 lbs.
y.o. 2002 he fights 2 times with high weight 122 lbs. NOTE: he was able to maintain 122lbs. for 4 years, now it starts to get harder as he ages. Very normal
y.o. 2003 he fights 3 times with high weight 126 lbs.
y.o. 2004 he fights 2 times with high weight 125 lbs.
y.o. 2005 he fights 2 times with high weight 130 lbs.
y.o. 2006 he fights 3 times with high weight 129 1/2 lbs.
y.o. 2007 he fights 2 times with high weight 130 lbs.
y.o. 2008 he fights 3 times with high weight 142 lbs. in order to fight Oscar. Which intentional weight gain in order to fight a heavier opponent is not a new concept. Hopkins and Roy Jones did exactly that under the supervision of a nutritionist/trainer and it was well documented. I didn't hear anything about steroids on the menu?
y.o. 2009 he fights 2 times with high weight 144 lbs.
If you listen to some of the interveiws he has a hard time maintaining his weight. When you train hard, you are automatically going to loss weight. In order to maintain or gain weight you need to take in more calories than you are burning, it's a simple mathmatical equation. In the interviews, they addres that issue. Hopkins talked about it many times, because it's not necessarily easy to do. You have to realize we are talking a period of time from 16 years old to 31 years old, there is nothing unusual about the weight progression. I'm willing to bet, that anyone using that arguement did absolutely no research on the subject. The science proves that arguement false, as it does with many CONSPIRACY THERORIES.
