MANNY PACQUIAO GETS “GIFT WIN” OVER JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ
November 13th, 2011 By Pedro Fernandez
WORLD CHAMP AMIR KHAN SAYS “MARQUEZ WAS ROBBED”San Francisco, CA- The third encounter between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao was reminiscent of the Felix Sturm-Oscar De La Hoya fight. If you remember, De La Hoya was signed to fight then middleweight champ Bernard Hopkins in a mega-money clash even before Sturm clearly beat him over 12 rounds, yet a beaten up Oscar got the call. According to Amir Khan, the WBA 140 lb. champion and Manny Pacquiao’s gym partner, before the bogus decision was announced, challenged Marquez to a fight. After the decision, a majority call of 116-112, 115-113 & 114-114 was read by Michael Buffer, the British TV team looked like they had seen a ghost. In other words, they couldn’t believe Marquez lost!
NOW YOU KNOW WHY MAJORITY THINK BOXING IS FIXED!
A recent poll of 1200 people here at RingTalk.com showed that an overwhelming majority of boxing fans either think boxing is fixed (48%) and 11% being unsure of whether the game is rigged. For years, I’ve called for a Federal Boxing Commission, or a czar that would run the sport nationally, but that has fallen on deaf ears. If I were czar, you wouldn’t see the bull s*it decisions in boxing that you have over the years. I know what judges cannot be swayed by the fact that the Nevada economy is in trouble, therefore voting for Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) in order to allow Floyd Mayweather to “gangster slap” the Filipino should they fight in 2012.
EVEN YOU PACNUTS MUST NOW ADMIT THE FACTS!
Having watched Floyd Mayweather shutout Juan Manuel Marquez, who has probably been robbed of two decisions against Manny Pacquiao, anybody in their right mind, any sane or objective soul has to admit that Mayweather-Pacquiao will be a mismatch! Floyd will turn out Pacquiao like a hooker working the streets of General Santos City in the Philippines, Pacquiao’s hometown, as Pac won’t win a single round!
EVEN PACMAN KNEW HE LOST!
Everybody knows what “body language” is. That being the case, Manny Pacquiao knew he lost the fight, you could see it in his eyes and actions, as did the vast majority of objective viewers.
CHICKEN HEARTED PACMAN HAS RUINED A MAYWEATHER FIGHT
With his fighting three straight stiffs in Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, and Shane Mosley, all the while refusing to adhere to “random” drug testing that Floyd Mayweather has demanded, this because many people suspect (or have suspected) that Pacquiao has taken Performance Enhancing Drugs. Seeing Manny has ran from Floyd for a 1 & 1/2 years, if they do fight in 2012, fewer people will give a s*it, as they will now realize that what I have been saying for a long time, “Manny pacquiao couldn’t hit Floyd Mayweather in the ass with a ping pong paddle,” is as true as the sun coming up tomorrow morning. For the record, I had it 116-113 (one round even) for Juan Manuel Marquez (52-6-1, 39 KOs).
INSTEAD OF FIGHTING FLOYD, PAC NEED GIVE JMM FOURTH FIGHT!
Manny Pacquiao’s a Philippine Congressman, a man very religious and Catholic, if he is anythinh but a phony prick, he will give the 38-year old Marquez another chance in his next fight! If not, Floyd will humiliate Pacquiao far more decisively than Marquez did tonight and the Pacquiao fanatics will either commit suicide in mass, or need millions of Prozac prescriptions. In closing, another shameful night for boxing, and if Manny were a man aqnd not a punk-ass puppet of promoter Bob Arum, he’d be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez next.
Pedro Fernandez

I had Pacquiao winning 115-113 (7-5).
with this kind of theft that are shit really do not think that boxing has more credibility marquez work and win this fight
this is why they coined the phrase ” Don’t drink and write” … if you call this writing
I hate to finally say it, but I don’t see a lot of hope for Manny against Mayweather. Floyd is bigger, stronger, faster and better than Marquez, and the only thing that I think Marquez has over Mayweather is the guts to stand and trade punches, which won’t be necessary for Mayweather to win.
Agree with everything Pedro says. Flyod Mayweather is a far mmuch better and faster counterpuncher than JMM. He will make Pacquiao look stupid. Actually, if I were Arum, I would make Pacquiao fight Mayweather, rather than risk him losing to JMM for less money.
I don’t really care about the decision what did people think marquez was going to get a decision over Pac with the Mayweather fight on the horizon? Much love and respect to Marquez I love him but I didn’t think it would even be competitve let alone whoop that ass again! Pac is a media creation if there was any fairness in boxing where ever they put Pac on the all time list Marquez should be 1 ahead of him. Riculous!
Pedro is wrong about “Manny pacquiao couldn’t hit Floyd Mayweather in the ass with a ping pong paddle,” mainly because it’s not allowed in boxing. But I do agree that Pacquiao lost the third fight. Pacquiao looked frustrated and wild in this fight.
I am a big Pacman fan and thought that MP would take Marquez out around the 7th. But after the first round it was clear Marquez was controlling MP. He controlled him so completely, it looked like MP was sick or did not get a good nights sleep; he had nothing, it looked like a an imposter in their fighting that’s how much Marquez controlled him. I totally agree with you on all points.
i agree with u this time pedro. jmm was robbed. and maybe floyd will muster the courage to fight manny now after the very poor performance..
I think the analysts did a good job of explaining why the decision went to Manny Pacquiao. Basically, Pacquiao made the fight. He came forward and he landed more. Marquez was so tentative, cautious to throw. He DID NOT DO ENOUGH TO WIN. It’s simple as that. And I disliked how Marquez was a sore loser and left the ring. It was a close fight, just like the second fight, and Manny DID ENOUGH TO WIN. That’s it.
you conclude the fight was a win for JMM but if you will look closer the actual aggressor was manny, and the highlights of each rounds are all in favor of the hits made by JMM, that was the reason why you actually thought JMM won, but he didnt, pathetic pedro always sucks floyds dick and kisses mayweathers ass…
Had it a close fight with pac ahead by a few rounds..this was not a robbery…I agree with u though after seeing that performance, im favoring mayweather to whoop pacs butt…
exactly what i thought – sturm-oscar all over again. but just like after that fight, real fans know who really won. i did not hear HBO because i’m not interested in listening to their agenda but i am sure they were kissing pac ass hard and heavy. congratulations to JMM on his win even if he didn’t get the decision.
Watching that fight just proved that Floyd Mayweather Jr is the real P4P. Honestly, I didnt give Marquez any chance in this fight and after watching that…Im absolutely certain and Pacman would get destroyed by Floyd. The fact that the fight was “close” (we all know that was a gracious remark cause it wasn’t nearly that) proves Pacman is not the best. Mayweather destoryed Marquez…
try to watch it again at below normal speed.
I hate to say this but I have seen Manny decline since the accusation of PED’s just like I saw it in RJJ, Mosley, and Holyfield. Is it possible that once these guys stop juicing we see their real talents. All of those guys juiced at one time then amazingly lost their chins etc…Maybe Manny was or maybe he wasn’t.
Now “ya’ll” know why Bob wouldn’t let Many enter the ring with the Money Man. Chapter closed.
Marquez made Pac his girlfriend! Marquez is 38 yrs old for christ sake! Imagine if Marquez was also 32 yrs old? Pac fans give it up we heard all the excuses.
Pac (24) vs JMM (31) 1- Pac was just a left handed fighter.
Pac (28) vs JMM (35) 2- After pacfans screaming this is a different fight pac has had 4 yrs to get better gets whooped again.
Pac (32) vs JMM (38)- Pac fans “Pacs a different beast he has knocked out bigger men JMM is old and sucks above 135″! Gets his ass whooped again!
This decision was more to prevent suicides from all the Pac fans. Do you know what would have happened if the decision went to the actual winner? There would be riots and mass looting. Marquez proved he was a better fighter than Pac again no need for a 4th no matter what Marquez does he will never ever get a decision over Pac! You have all of asia on his side. That’s a lot of money to lose. Pac exposed again I guess we can stop saying Pac is a GOAT. That’s good enough for me. Keep him away from Mayweather if Marquez whooped him again what is a bigger fster Mayweather going to do?
Manny was the most ineffective agressor i have ever seen,no way he won more than 5 rounds, Marquez had him scared to throw punches what happened to 100 punches a round? Hbo was biased even the end of round highlights were all Marquez. He controlledthis fight and pac never did what he wanted never landed anything with meaning
It looked like Manny tried to fight without his super juice or Marquez evened the playing field and showed that he was the better fighter. I had Marquez winning 8 rounds to 4. Either way Floyd would annihilate PEDquiao.
I repeat ineffective aggressor who lands 28 percent and wins and for you idiots who think you know boxing, trust this Jmmarquez is a good fighter Floyd is agreat Manny only has a punchers chance
guys! cant you see what is happening? this is all a ploy from pacquiao’s camp. by looking like crap in his last two fight, they look to finally get mayweather inside the ring since being ” the bigger, stronger, and smarter” is not enough for mayweather to take on ” the little fella”
“Floyd will turn out Pacquiao like a hooker working the streets of General Santos City in the Philippines” – haha, nice one Pedro.
Sorry didn’t get to see this one LIVE. However, when it comes on again in one week, take a note pad, and JUDGE with the SOUND OFF. Using this: 1. Scoring Blows Only. 2. Defense. 3. Ring Generalship. 4. Sportsmanship. The four Criteria used by the Judges in this Trilogy, of WARRIORS. Apparently the Competition, as twice before, was on the Cutting Edge of GREATNESS by Both. In close bouts like this one, and twice before, with NO KD’s, and NO PTS deducted it is a ‘Fine Edge’, that Judges are left with when signing off each RD. with a 10-10, or 10-9, again using the 4 Part Scoring Criteria of the INTL UNIFIED RULES of BOXING. One last POINT, pardon the PUN. The 3 Judges, have only a limited View, as they CANNOT MOVE around, or see the Re-Plays, and Reviews that TV audiances see after rds. They are also NOT influenced by the HBO commentators, often BIASED hyperbole. One thing for sure, these TWO have demonstarted over 36 Rds.,is they are tremendously close, in Boxing Skills, when it comes to deciding WHO WON. FANS will always have their FAVORITES, and their Version of the Scoring as to Whom they think WON. Which is why we have the SPORT of the ‘Sweet Science’, which dictates very close, competative, sometimes controversial decisions.
Marquez won …. Nothing more to say
JMM won, but a close decision for Pac is not out ouf the question. The thing that stinks is that every close decision always falls to the same side.
Anyone who claims either man won hands down is an idiot. This was the same closely contested fight as the other two. Both are Great featherweights whom are perfect for each other. Difference is Pachas the star power and gets the close call. Nacho was a huge goat as the advise in the corner that his man had it won was terrible, especially considering that the last two fights he felt robbed. Unless floyd has also lost alot from his prime, he handles manny as he and any other great lightweight should.
Lack of great talent at the welterweights allows great fighters to jump weight and succeed, but who knows the sport knows any of the great 1980s great 147 pounders who have killed any of these guys including Floyd.
Pedro,
The only thing I disagree with is a fourth fight.
If you are Marquez, why would you want to do this again? The only reason I can come up with would be if Marquez comes to the conclusion that the money involved is worth the guarantee of a difficult fight followed by a guaranteed loss.
These guys haven’t fought three times now. It is the same fight, 36 rounds later. JMM’s going to win the bulk of the rounds and look pretty damn good doing it and on the rare occasions where a world class ass stomping is taking place and guys are on the floor, Pacquiao’s going to be the one bringing it. This fight has ended the same way three times now. Pacquiao getting a decision that upsets fair minded people… Why do it again?
I think everything you state here is dead on the money. I differ from you slightly in the fact that I believe Marquez won both of the previous two contests… But the reality of things, we both see eye to eye. We are on the exact same page. This SHOULD be one of the greatest Boxing rivalries in history… If it wasn’t for the scoring. Boxing simply cannot do the right thing… EVER!
If boxing sees a loaded shotgun somewhere. It will run to it, stick it in it’s mouth and pull the trigger… Every Time! If boxing was capable of doing the right thing, this rivalry could go 5,6 fights EASY! But it can’t!
People who are saying it was a robbery are crazy. It was a close fight just like all their fights. As I said before the fight, styles make fights; and JMM’s style will always give Pac trouble just like Ken Norton did to Ali. If you can’t understand that then you don’t know anything about boxing.I watched the fight over after everyone left my house last night and scored it for Pac by one point. If you want to blame anyone, blame the genius Nacho Berenstein for telling JMM he had the fight won. As soon as he said that I told my friends that that advice will cost him the fight. If he fought the last round and won it, it would have been a majority draw. This performance has no bearing on Pac’s fight against Floyd. JMM throws so many more types of punches than Floyd like the right uppercut, right hook and the like. Floyd throws the check hook, and the lead right and an occasional jab; totally different arsenal. Watch and see what happens when Pac fights Floyd. Go back and really watch the last round of Floyd and Ortiz and you will see Ortiz pressure and connect on Floyd. Floyd has the tools to win, but styles make fights. Let’s just hope they make the fight. By the way all you Floyd nut huggers, why doesn’t Floyd call out Sergio at 150 if he is ready to fight the best. Pac, Floyd and Sergio are considered the top 3 P4P, so if the Pac fight can’t get made; fight Sergio. Sergio already said he is ready to fight him at 150. Floyd will NEVER accept that fight because he truly does not want to face the best.
I toatly agree with the artical manny would get his a** kicked by floyd and he knows it. If jmm can counter punch him and do that much damage floyd would destroy him it just common sense.
Larry,
You are correct but on that note… Anyone who thinks that Marquez hasn’t won a single fight so far is also an idiot.
The problem with this (and many other decisions) is that they aren’t getting the decisions correct. This garbage is happening too often. You have a panel of people in the media numbering around 30 who using broad stroke terms come up with something pretty consistent along the lines of commentary and the fans in attendance. And then you have three people (the only ones who matter) see the thing entirely different.
Its crap Larry. You saw that house, they went crazy! They were PISSED! That doesn’t happen when things go down fair and square. They’ve got to get these decisions right, especially the close ones.
If Mayweather is so great let them fight at 140. Marquez lost because he spent his time backing up instead of going forward. There are better Mexican boxers.
Really sad to see Marquez’ great effort gunned down by corruption. Bob Arum, Pacquiao and Roach ar true scumbags. Marquez was all class. Great counters and control. Pacoward was lost in there.
U people are just fly by night boxing fans and don’t know Jack about boxing. Rock is right it’s JMM style that gives him hell. If they fought 100x’s it’ll always be close. There was no robbery Marquez didn’t fight to win he came to be too smart and outsmarted himself. Also u guys got caught in the hype by all these so called boxing experts who were predicting a blow out when the fact is Marquez has never been koed. So when manny didn’t ko him u guys think he is slipping. I think not he knew what was in front of him that’s why he started camp early. I don’t want to see a rematch they are both very even and somewhat if JMM get one then will they stop fighting each other??? Marquez had 3 shots to beat pacman and hasn’t done it!!! Time to turn the page. Time for PBF vs Pacman. If they want put JMM in against Kahn and if he wins he gets the winner of berto Ortiz then if he wins that make a rematch with Floyd or Manny. There was no robbery the fight could’ve gone either way like the last 2. And I’m no pacpunk
Jrock is an exemplary dumb pactard! The best: give me a break: the last six fights of Pacman you call that the BEST! You try to appear like you know something about boxing silly dumbass. Floyd is the pure boxer meaning he can also adapt which is key to the best. Manny is a one dimensional machine who’s brains were left at the grade school attended for six years! Oh, I’m sorry; he didn’t even go to grade school!
Hey Pedro is Marquez on the juice…lol…I kid I kid…listen I think if these guys fight 20 more times we will proably get the same fight(close)no need to hate! Marquez won even if he lost.what is he gonna do for his next fight, fight Floyd? do you think it would be different than their first match?…Yes let reality sink in for a second .We all expected Manny to blow through him like a dude with ROID RAGE but guess what it was 04 and 08 all over again and will Floyd and Manny be a mismatch I dont know but I would like to see it hell even pay to see it.My thoughts on this are more about how these guys fight neck and neck each time they do Battle.Could Marquez beat Cotto or Magarito or Mosley.I think Floyd is laughing somewhere cause Manny just picked up some of his haters.
No JMM could not beat Cotto, Mosley, Margarito.
I’m a Pac fan, but I admittedly think he lost against Marquez in the fight by a slim margin. Pac probably won around 3-5 rounds. As you can see from the Compubox, Marquez didn’t really dominate the fight, but then you don’t score the fight based on the number of punches landed, but by the number of ROUNDS won, and clearly Marquez won MORE rounds than Pacquiao did.
Marquez’ counter-punching style is superior to Pacquiao’s attacking style. Barrera, Morales, Diaz, Hatton, Dela Hoya, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and Mosley should have exploited this weakness to win against Pacquiao. Unfortunately, only Marquez can effectively use it against Pacquiao.
But then it doesn’t necessarily follow that since Mayweather won against Marquez and Marquez won (unofficially) against Pacquiao—that Mayweather CAN EASILY win against Pacquiao. STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. Pacquiao’s style could be troublesome to Mayweather, as Marquez’ style to Pacquiao’s. Mayweather is NOT a counter-puncher, but a slick puncher who can easily jab and punch when he sees an opening (even when his opponent is apologizing).
Marquez was the better boxer yesterday. No doubt. Pac has a lot of soul-searching to do if he wants to get his rhythm back.
roberto rios up to his old tricks. Can’t get through a post without insulting people and still attacks others knowledge while showing none. Of course you don’t want a rematch, you’re a Mayweather nuthugger and it is pretty obvious now that Mayweather wins that fight.
I agree with Dunne’s takes. There is a guy with some credibility. Anyone who feels JMM doesn’t desserve a rematch is an idiot. Not really any point in that though as the only way he could even squeak out a draw against Pac is by brutally knocking him into a coma. Even hen maybe not.
If thinking that Marquez was robbed makes me an idiot, then so be it. I could be mistaken, but I believe that several pretty damned good boxers have been vocal in calling it a robbery, so if that’s what is considered an idiot in boxing nowadays, then I’m definitly an idiot…
And another thing a robbery is whitiker vs Chavez, Lewis vs Holyfield 1 Walcott vs louis those are roberies these 3 fights were close and could’ve gone to either man. Manny wanted it more and it showed!!!! Period
Mr. Shipp you are obviously a novice boxing fan and a jackass. The reason I said the BEST is because Floyd is the one proclaiming that he only want’s to fight the best and he NEVER does. Pac never said that. Let’s look at Pac’s resume of opponents vs. Floyd’s; tell me who fought the better competition? Hell, let’s even break it down to Welterweight competition even though Pac just moved to welter, Floyd has been a true Welter for over 7 years and his list of fights against true welters is sad (Zab, Baldomir, Mosley, ODLH at 154, Ortiz) don’t give me Hatton who is a true 140 pounder, don’t give me JMM who is a true 135 ponder, and don’t give me Gatti who was 140 pound class B action fighter. How many good top welterweights names are missing from this list in those 7 years (ie. Cotto while he was undefeated, Margarito in his prime, Mosley before he was 38, etc). I think Floyd should beat Pac because he has all the tools, but styles make fights so you never know until the bell rings. I also think Floyd would have beaten Cotto, Margarito, and Mosley in their prime, but he never made the fights. I don’t give a damn about why the fights weren’t made, he never tested himself against those top welters in their prime. You get judged on your body of work IN the ring against top opponents in their prime, in your weight class or above (not below). What you should have known was that JMM will always give Pac a hard time because of their styles. I have been in the ring and had an amateur record of 23 – 1 so I do know a little about what I’m talking about.
I guess when Floyd and Manny fight we will have all the answers we need!
A robbery is Casamayor vs santa cruz…one guy is handily winning a fight…I’m a big jmm fan but he DID NOT win handily..it was a close fight! I don’t agree with it but if u want to win the championship especially when you KNOW that there’s another fight on the horizon that people want to see Kmayweather pac), you need to come out the last rounds gunz blazing when you know the fight is close. Tell me honestly, did jmm come out there with that kind of willingness?
all those hits, and JMM still can’t put down Pacman even once. I’m sure of one thing though: if JMM is the champ, he clearly won this last fight, and will be known as the best defending champion in boxing…. or sounds even better: the best counter punching champ of the decade.
this might sound nuts, but JMM played as if he already have the title and Pacman is the challenger. if this is the case, no queston that JMM won. again, if this match happens to be a quest for an UNCLAIMED CROWN, JMM clearly should be crowned.
but that’s not the case here. somebody obviously made a mistake by saying that JMM won before it’s over, so he played safe in the end. JMM’s too “cautious” he DIDN’T even go for the kill when he had the chance. In the end the best JMM could get is a draw from one of the judges. pity. i really thought he won this fight. But in a really close fight where the challenger can’t even KD the champ even once, draw is his best chances. Remember the first match between these two great boxers…
A big problem with todays boxing is todays superstars who get paid boatloads of money and people forget about the little guys that can make competitive matches..Id love to see pac vs jmm four but I wouldn’t mind seeing bradley vs pac at 140 either. Mayweather vs martinez at 154just would be a great fight too…but watch what hapens..its goin to be may vs pac…
SHUT UP ASSHOLES…IF U THINK MANNY DESERVES NOT TO WIN..WELL BLAME AND TALK SHITS ABOUT THE JUDGES AND NOT MANNY HIMSELF. AFTER ALL. THE JUDGES DECLARE HIM THE WINNER NOT MANNY HIMSELF. U GOT THE POINT. HE ONLY FIGHT AND THATS ALL HE HAD DONE AND THE JUDGES DID THE DECISION..NOT MANNY I REPEAT NOT MANNY DECLARE HIMSELF THE WINNER..THE JUDGES…BITTER!!!
All this talk about Marquez being the challenger is BS! Go tell that to Bernard Hopkins when he fought Jermaine Taylor the first time and lost his title. Maybe even De La Hoya vs Mayweather! Did Mayweather really go out there and take it or just land pot shots all night? De la Hoya was more aggresive the whole fight. The 38 yr old lightweight controlled Pac and had him looking lost. Like I said before Pac isn’t as good as people made him out to be. Hearing Pac fans defending him after this fight is hilarious. It was supposed to be a blowout against a 38 yr old lightweight. Pac had every single advantage youth, size, speed. The only thing Marquez had was brains which is more than enough to bring Pac and his fans back to the real world! Awesome!
Its funny how one can hail JMM as great and somehow pac is just o.k…JMM and have given pac hell but there’s the flipside to that. Pac gave JMM hell too! History has shown us that styles make fights and some made the stupid observation (I being one of them) that pac has blown out much bigger foes (cotto, margarito, clottey) and EXPECTED more out of pac…In hindsight, when the hell has JMM been ktfo and two, jmm has PROVEN to have the style that gives pac fits…Anyone that takes away from pac in essence also takes away from JMM and vice versa.
Pac is a great fighter, he just lost Saturday or should of at least to Marquez. Oscar vs Floyd fight was not a close fight. Floyd won that hands down. They should make the Pac vs Floyd fight now because Pac has taken some damage his last couple fights minus Mosley. If he fights Marquez again there is even a bigger chance he loses. Pac wont keep getting the benefit of the judges everytime. And he is losing any leverage against Mayweather.
Is Pacquiao a victim of his own success? People all over the world are expecting a blow out, anything less is not acceptable. The fact that in 7 fights going up from featherweight to jr. Middleweight, fighting HOF & TOP Contenders, he barely lost 10 rounds in all of his fights. Unbelievable run, isn’t it? Now comes Marquez, who everybody believed was going to be fed to a lion, but the outcome was unexpected by the fans as Marquez is counter punching genious that gave Pacman trouble all the time.
I watched the replay a couple of times and I felt Marquez, won rounds 2, 5, 6 & 7 after that you could find Marquez swinging badly up to 12 rounds. You could hardly see Pacman punches unless you have it in slow motion. Based on my observation on the replay, Pacman won 115-113 against Marquez. I have observed also in the early & middle rounds why Pacman was out of balance sometimes as I noticed Marquez was stepping on Pacman’s foot a couple of times. Could it be a dirty trick? You’ll be the judge.
Have to be an idiot to believe that there shouldn’t be a 4th fight because “Pac won 3 times” or “It’s time to move on.” BS. There is absolutely no closure on this series. Marquez earned a 4th fight. Decisions in all 3 of the fights were debatable.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1cP4ce9LhM JMM lost because he is a cheat… watch the foot stopper trick…
Agree with R.Rios. Very nice breakdown and i agree 100%
I saw the British TV commentary that Pedro speaks of and they tell it like it is – They have no reason for agendas. I haven’t yet had a chance to see the HBO production but plan to do so with the sound down because they have agendas and are usually pretty bad with the cheerleading.
DISAGREE with R. Rios, the guy couldn’t be more WRONG if he tried. This may have not been a robbery (Arguable) but this sure as hell isn’t an acceptable conclusion to this series of fights either as far as most fight fans are concerned. To say that JMM “hasn’t been able” to beat Pac in 3 tries is just plain stupid. He hasn’t gotten the decisions maybe, which we now know he will never get against Pac in Las Vegas, but many, MANY could argue that those 3 decisions could have easily gone the other way. He sure as hell has done enough to earn another shot if he wants it. Anyone who is satisfied at the way this ended and wants the fighters to move on without each other is in the minority and/or afraid JMM will get the decision one of these times – for whatever reasons. Pac got the decisions, whether or not he won the fights is up for debate. You don’t “Turn the page” in that situation.
Yea Romo let’s have them fight 30x’s more because it’ll be the same story. Close fights with somebody bitching!!!! The funny thing is it should be 3 to 0 the judge from fight 1 said he made a scoring error from rnd 1 so if he did it right manny would’ve got fight 1 also. And u didn’t see manny crying about it. I’ve never seen Jmm or rafa take a loss and not whine. Look at the Israel Vazquez fights he had to keep fighting Marquez until it was even when truth be told when they’re both 100 percent Israel is the better fighter. I think we need to see other fights and also give the young boys a shot. Enough with catchweghts and rematches. Also what’s not being spoken is the bias judges would have for another fight. And they might score it wrong from all the bitching now. Like Lewis vs Holyfield 2 Lewis got robbed the first fight and then I saw Holyfield win the rematch but the judges went the other way. Enough turn the page
Just because a fight isn’t a robbery doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be a rematch. There was no clear winner in any of the 3 fights. You don’t just move on from a fight like this and forget it. It leaves a bad taste in fans mouths when it ends like this. What’s Pac moving on to now anyways if there is no rematch? A fight with Mayweather would be a joke. That fight lost it’s luster. Pac has no chance. Put together a card like the one we just saw and do it again. Pac fans may not want to see it because it’s another guaranteed war. Too stressful for them. They would rather sit back and watch him spar with one more Top Rank bum.
