NEVADA STEROID TESTS HAVE BEEN BEATEN!

December 24th, 2009 By Pedro Fernandez

THE STEROID & BALCO SAGA REVISITED

San Francisco, CA- Back when I was the only one to call out Shane Mosley on his Steroid use in his second fight with Oscar De La Hoya, this was some four years prior to his admitting such to Sports Illustrated. And while he denied it profusely, at the same time his pencil neck attorney at the time Judd Burstein, he threatened to sue me, make my life miserable, etc.

NEVADA TESTS SAID SHANE WAS PRISTINE!

What I’m leading to is that Mosley underwent (and beat) the testing put forth by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Let me say that again, so even the most dense might comprehend the verbiage, the testing that the Nevada Commission wants to utilize for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, it is essentially the same system that was handily beaten by Mosley AS HE ADMITTED TO USING used two types of designer steroids and EPO two months prior to De La Hoya II in 2003. So, why not set a great example for the world and do the Olympic testing Manny, and at the same time shut up everyone!

ANDRE WARD TALKS MANNY, FLOYD, & BALCO TOO!

Andre Ward, the 2004 Olympic king and now World 168 lb. champ, a man who knows about Olympic drug testing, will be a guest this Sunday on “Ring Talk Worldwide,” the longest running fight show in history. The unbeaten Ward can see things from the perspectives of both Manny and Floyd. He also knows Victor Conte, the erstwhile scientist type that designed the steroids Mosley was taking. Tune in this Sunday night at 6:05 PM PT on XTRA Sports 860 AM in San Francisco or LIVE via streaming audio right here at www.RingTalk.com

LISTEN, CALL, EMAIL ANDRE

Ward will be open to calls, emails, etc. To listen click on the LIVE radio box at the top of any page here at www.RingTalk.com

COMMENTS

  1. THIS TESTING SEEMS TO BE FAIR TO ME. WHATEVER YOU THINK OF MAYWETHER HE WOULD BE SUBJECTED TO THE SAME TESTING PACQUIAO WOULD. I ALSO AGREE WITH MAYWEATHER FORKING UP 10 MILLION IF HE WAS TO COME OVER THE WEIGHT LIMIT.

ALBERT on December 24th, 2009 at 1:54 PM
  2. How can you say the tests are fair if they don’t catch the drugs they are there to catch?

If Pac can’t come clean and take the tests, then by default he is hiding something. There’s no reason not to do the tests, and all the complainers need to realize that. More testing is good for a balanced sport, especially given the current tests fail.

Who cares if this has never been done? It should be done, so do it.

Beave on December 24th, 2009 at 2:45 PM
  3. for as much money as these fools will be making on this fight I wouldn’t object to any kind of blood testing at all if I was one of them. They are making close to 35 million each!!! for that kind of money you would think Manny and Floyd would be more than willing to undergo any and all tests. This fight will be made because $$$ talks and there’s just WAAAYYYY too much $$$ not to put this fight together. All this bullshit is just part to hype up the fight and for us to anticipate it even more. Does anyone see it the way I do???

Jesus Arriaga on December 24th, 2009 at 3:39 PM
  4. DUDE CHILL I AGREE WITH YOU WHEN I SAY BOTH FIGHTERS ARE SUBJECTED TO THE SAME TESTING I MEANT THE OLYMPIC TESTING. SO NOBODY HAS AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE. YOU WOULD AGREE THAT BOTH FIGHTER SUBJECTED TO THE SAME TEST IS FAIR.

ALBERT on December 24th, 2009 at 3:54 PM
  5. The stuff Mosley was on was the BALCO, state-of-the-art ‘roids. That stuff wouldn’t have been traced by Olympic testing either. That’s why all those athletes were paying tens of thousands of dollars for that stuff. Marion Jones was a client of BALCO and she tested clean. I think he should take the test. But at the same time I don’t get why Floyd gets to change the rules?

  6. Freddie Roach said PacMan has no problem taking the test at begining of camp,30 days out from the fight, and 48 hours before the fight and immediately after the fight so i dont see whats the purpose of this .Oh i see now it is called HYPE!! No fight, pacman vs paulie malanaggi yada yada yada the only way I believe this fight aint happening is if there is no press conference by Jan 8-10.I already see the circus is coming to town.By the way I must give Pedro his props on the mosley steroid scandal and bringing it to the attention to many of us.

  7. pedro please help me make sense of things. From what i know… roach said pacquiao is willing to blood test 72 hours b4 fight night and right after the fight in the locker room. Why is this not acceptable to mayweathers people? To me it seems like mayweather is playing head games. trying to discredit pac and its working. Look, instead of you enjoying a once in a lifetime athlete in pacquiao while he’s here, the mayweathers have you and countless others suspecting pacquiao of steroids with NO evidence. Does pacquiao not deserve the benefit of the doubt? Mayweather is playing games and has me questioning his real motives.

  9. Apparently Arum/Pac will be suing May/GBP. Now we know. Pac is definitely not clean nad will only fight someone not asking for tests.

todaline on December 24th, 2009 at 10:30 PM
  10. Pedro… Pacman is suing the Mayweathers for US$100M. If Floyd is afraid in the ring then he has to face Pacman in court whether he like it or not. Ha…ha who has the last laugh now…. the Maywethaers will end up pennyless and worse end up in jail for good.

Jim Spain on December 24th, 2009 at 11:19 PM
  11. Just because Shane “may” have cheated are you implying then that Manny is a cheat too? Pacquiao ought to include your dumb ass in a lawsiut! Whatever Manny does he will never shut up idiots like you pedro! Why don’t you show the world what chemical or chemicals will increase a boxer’s punching power, speed and stamina? Does this concoction exist already? And why is Pacquiao the only one using it? Why aren’t there more Pacquiaos around? Bottomline Mayweather is scared shit! He is trying to wiggle out of this fight with Pacman, knowing he will surely get ko’d!

Benny Antonio on December 25th, 2009 at 3:35 AM
  12. Hey Pedro is Ariza a genius? I mean is he the only one who knows this magic formula that makes Pacquiao such a great great fighter? Did he invent it himself? If this MAGICAL CHEMICAL exist already, why is Pacquiao the only client of the inventor of such formula? Are all current sports superstars taking the same substance that Manny is taking? Maybe Tiger Woods is taking the same substance? Society is so sick today, especially american society, that if someone is so successful maybe he is cheating! Remember those poor high school students who always fail that NST or some test, when they worked their asses off and passed the test, the authorities declared they cheated that is why they passed! Jesus Christ, Pacquiao only finished elementary education, he comes from a third world country! He is not sophisticated enough and besides it is not in his character to cheat. Mostly american superstars were the ones caught, continue to be caught. Why? Because americans are by culture, money motivated. While Pacquiao’s motivation initialy for taking up boxing was primarily to help support his family, it was not greed! For Pacquiao to eat 3 meals a day was enough.Mayweather is such a coward! Dela Hoya is such a hypocrite! Floyd if your afraid to fight Manny just say it, enough of this baloney!

Benny Antonio on December 25th, 2009 at 6:19 AM
  13. I have no idea what flows in Manny’s veins, but I do know it would be a pain to worry every time I took any kind of medication how it might be read by someone half-asleep in the lab, with the publicity to follow. Testing may have a high degree of accuracy, but “false negatives” and “false positives” are a part of the science as well.

Floyd has spent his career getting in other people’s faces. (Remember the “slave” comments he made after getting millions from HBO?) So, if he loses out on this fight, he’ll have to scrounge up the millions somewhere else, and the Casinos vacuuming his pockets at the tables will have to wait to collect.

Antonino on December 25th, 2009 at 8:44 AM
  14. Now, everyone must also realize that Conte beat the Olympic testing as well(Marion Jones).

Conte has gone on record as saying that wasn’t the only time he beat the Olympic testing, and in a race, was actually supplying multiple guys.

SOOOOOOOooo, Olympic testing is not full proof by any means, but, random blood and urine testing is the best we have, so, we should use it.

Apparently, it would mess with Manny’s “program” and he will even leave 40 mil on the table to avoid the scrutiny. That to me, means he is guilty, and yes, Mayweather, who I am no fan of, has won.

Nokao on December 25th, 2009 at 10:49 AM
  15. Conte has commented on the current Pacman drug testing. He says that growth hormone is not really that anabolic, and that the real probelm is EPO, which raises red cell blood count and gives you endurance for days.

Also, he said the boxing urine tests are completely useless other then finding some sort of stimulant used in the fight itself.

Announced tests are also useless, due to the drugs of choice clearing no later then a week’s time, so if you know hn your going to take it, you’d be a complete idiot if you pissed hot.

    So, is Manny on EPO?

Nokao on December 25th, 2009 at 11:20 AM
  16. Just a question, not an accusation.

I mean, where are Ariza’s explanations now?

I would like to see random blood tests in the future, as a fan.

Nokao on December 25th, 2009 at 11:23 AM
  17. Manny sure looks like a cheater now. I think the American people should turn their back on this arrogant athlete. Manny has his head of his ass. He is no superman, and refuses to take a test for a 50 million purse. I guess he doesn’t need the money. From now on he should fight in his own country, we don’t need this ass in the USA. He just come here to make money, and uses his culture an fear of needles to cheat and take EPO, and other advanced steroid. In order to past the test the cheat would have to be off from steroids and he’s afraid to get in the ring without the use of steroids.

Is so sad that many fighters are willing to get in the ring with him without this test because he bring a big purse. Paulie wants the fight even after he himself accused Manny of being into something.

Let’s see if the press is going to back him know, and how many PPV buys he’ll do if he fights Paulie.

I urge all HBO customers to boycott any Manny fights on HBO until he is tested by USADA AND randomly. I am an HBO customer and very upset. I don’t care to see Manny anymore. What arrogant fool walk away from 50 millions because he doesn’t want to take Olympic style tests. Phelps was suspected and he tested negative and the rumors went away.

Manny is not bigger than boxing and he avoided many of the best fighters out there. He will keep his Philipinos fans, but not the American fans. He made a choice already. Let’s see how he wins his battles in court.

  18. everybody seems to be on steroids nowadays, thanks to Mayweather Sr.
everywhere I go, it’s all about steroids, can’t people stop talking steroids???????

tony on December 25th, 2009 at 4:35 PM
  19. And by the way, has it been proven that steroids will make a boxer win????
Even Vargas was tested to be positive on an illegal substance but he lost by a KO.
What’s the proof that steroids is a sure winner???
The only winners with steroids are the sellers. Steroids is a misnomer when it comes to winning in boxing.
Mayweathers are the ones who know a lot about drugs, they probably got educated in the streets.

tony on December 25th, 2009 at 4:38 PM
  20. To: elloco….. look who’s talking. You are loko-loko. Pacman is well loved by the Americans and the whole world, hence, the number 1 fighter of the world. You are just postering hate out of envy. You just cant accept the fact that a tornado from the Pacific armed with a thousand left and right hooks are no match to your idols including coward Floyd. Lucky for you coz you are in America. Here in the Philippines accusing someone without proof can get you killed. Merry xmas and enjoy your new year.

Jim Spain on December 25th, 2009 at 10:27 PM
  21. To: elloco……

    1. Pacman a cheater? Is it not Floyd who cheated on the agreed weight in his fight against Marquez? Now who is cheater.
    2. Pacman arrogant? Is it not Floyd your idol who is arrogant? Read comments of boxing fans in boxing web sites and they will tell you who is arrogant.
    3. Pacman refuses to take blood test? Are you dumb? Manny says he will take the test thrice… one on January… next on 30 days before the fight and last immediately after the fight at the locker room. What’s the difference in taking the test a day before the fight and immediately after the fight? nothing except that you cant hide anything if you are into.
    4. Pacman not needed in the USA? It is because of Pacman that boxing is alive. Pacman is the saviour of boxing not Floyd. He is the biggest draw.
    5. He came to the US to make money? Sure he does. But he is paying Uncle Sam millions in taxes. What money he makes is a result of hard work nothing more nothing less.
    6. Urging HBO to boycott Pacman’s fight? How will HBO boycott Pacman’s fight when everybody wants a piece of him. He is the present golden boy of boxing. But mind you elloco… you cant put a good man down.
    7. Pacman is arrogant and walk away with what $50M? Pacman is not walking away from the fight… it is Floyd. In fact he challenges Floyd to come up and fight him in the ring mano a mano. If Floyd is not a coward he will readily accept the challenge without reservation. That’s what we are Filipinos. If somebody challenges you to a fight in public we dont back out. Like Mexicans we fight to death. That is courage our virtue.
    8. Manny avoided the best? Pacman ducks no one. He fight the best. When he fought Oscar boxing experts say he has no chance at all but look what happen. Suddenly Oscar was old, was drained, was not his usual self. When he fought Ricky the same boxing experts says that Ricky is simply too big for Pacman. Again, so many alibis after Ricky’s devastating KO. Against Cotto…. the same Cotto whom Floyd avoided to fight. Well the same critics who said that Cotto is done. And who avoided the best? Its Floyd. Instead of fighting Williams, Cotto, Mosley, Margarito he fought the smaller Marquez and he cheated on weight. And now he is avoiding Pacman and wants to fight M. Hatton. I doubt if Floyd wants to fight the Filipino Flash Donaire. Elloco….. merry xmas and happy new year.

Just becasue Mayweather Sr thinks one way does not make it true. If I were Pac I would call on all Trainers to be tested for illeagal substances throughout training and after the fight becasue we all know Uncle Roger is on something (most likely Meth) in addition to being the type of person who will hit a woman. I know he hasnt been convicted yet but since others feel they can convictt and sentence Pacman it seems only logical to call Roger guilty and to go ahead and sentence him

Hell, if I was Pac I wouldnt do it either, why give FMJ the satisifaction of trying to dictate terms when he isn’ the #1P4P. He hasnt fought a real credible oponent since 2002 except for Oscar in which it was a Split decision.
I say screw Floyd and his team and to move on. When Olympic testing is required for the entire state of boxing then I’ll change ny tune.

  24. elloco, you don;t know what the hell you’re talking about. asking a boycott for the man that has helped a dying sport like boxing?

you don’t $hit if you think that pacman has fought only for the money. last time we all checked, there was a major typhoon in the PI when manny was helping his countryman instead of training.

prior to that, he was giving out free turkeys for thanksgiving.

you wanna talk about who does boxing for the money? it’s obvious it’s mayweather. what’s his middle name?

i really hate ignorant posts like yours. to claim manny is a cheater when he has tested negative for PED countless of times.

for the record manny has agreed to test in jan, feb, and after the fight. no way you can effectively be on a PED if you’re being monitored like that.

he avoided the best fighters out there? r u that stupid? how about a mayweather at 147lbs choosing to fight a marquez who fights normally at 135 and a hatton that weighs in at 140?

    antonio_v on December 26th, 2009 at 2:11 AM
  25. This whole thing is nonsense.
1] Manny wins lots of big fights
2] Mayweather fights opponents of HIS choosing. Smaller guys on the way out who enjoy the big payday.
3]Mayweather decides Manny must be taking steroids so HE decides to change the rules
4]Manny decides to sue for defamation.
I don’t understand Mayweather. He has money problems that are well documented. He would get the biggest payday of his career. Who in their right mind would pay or what network would pay to see Mayweather fight another of his handpicked opponents? Make no mistake, Mayweather needs this fight.
The fact that he is as over rated as Roy Jones was comes to mind. Floyd does not want to fight a guy who can punch back.

It’s a mind game where he wins in some way whichever path Manny chooses. If Manny is forced into the agreement, then he’ll be affected mentally as well as stylistically (because, let’s face it, Pacman is to counterpunchers as Ali is to swarmers or in-fighters). If Manny refuses, he still looks bad. If Manny compromises, he also looks bad. Right now, he’s suing, and he still looks pretty bad. Floyd has won round one of the mind games, end of. I’m not sure if Pacquiao will take it like Frazier did with Ali’s Uncle Tom shenanigans or will he crumble like Corrales did when he found Mayweather. It’s all about the mental preparation, and Mayweather got exactly what he wanted when he insisted on this stipulation; cast a shadow of doubt on Pacman.

  27. All of you Manny nuthuggers are the blind ones. Manny is a cheat, because otherwise he would not walk away from 50 millions dollars if he wasn’t. This is a man who would probably run out of money 2 years after he is away from boxing. From what I have heard he was a heavy gambler and has multiple affairs with pricey women. Manny is not a man of God, like he portrays himself to be.

This isn’t even about the fight anymore. For all nuthuggers let’s see how much he will get paid against whoever he fights. They way many lives his life, he will run out of money after his political campaign and he going to comeback to milk boxing.

This are all the same nuthuggers who were saying boxing was dead after Oscar retires and look at where boxing is now.

Arum doesn’t own boxing, he an 80 year old who should be retire. Arum is from a different era. He doing business like he always did in the past, bossing people around. Manny is just Arum’s bitch.

Manny is a cheat until he proves otherwise. Even his own people will doubt him.
I am sure he feel he has not shot without steroids. It’s why he walked away from all that money. The money won’t be there late 2010.

Floyd should just take the fight and beat the cheater, so that Manny could go right into politics, which is the corrupt world where he truly belongs.

Mostly Olympic athletes get caught because they have the best testing program.

Dont ever ever under estimate the patience of Pacman least you be included in the multi-million $$$$$$ suit for destroying ones reputation. 31. Elloco, If i were told to pick you out of a crowd without ever haveing have nmet you it would be no problem, I would just look for someone without a huge brown ring around there nose. The level at which you have your nose up FMJ ass is unbelieveable.

What you are useing to describe Pacman almost sounds like the definition of FMJ. Gambling debts, alomost broke, delinquesnt on car payments, owed the IRS over 6 Million. Probably only came back to boxing becasue he was broke.

Until there is more evidence that Pacman is a cheater other then because Uncle(Meth, I beat women) Roger his equally screwed up brother Sr said so then I will wait to hold my judgement. Speaking of cheaters, didn’t FMJ come in 2 lbs over the contracted weight limit for his last fight. If Mayweather can’t grow a pair to fight Manny then he should just shut it and move on. By the way, I believe FMJ would win the fight so I’m not blinded but as long as every other boxer is tested one way and until it’s changed it’s all bullshit anyway.

As for Arum I completely agree with you but then again it seems like every boxing promoter is the same so theres not much difference between Arum, King, Schaefer, Goosen or Duva.

  32. to elloco marion jones beat the olympic testing program fyi.

rob on December 27th, 2009 at 3:07 AM
  33. Y’all nuthuggers are clueless. In a boxing match there is a contract b/t two fighters to fight for certain amount of money on a given days. There could be clauses to the contract that go beyond of what the state mandates. Anything as long as it’s legal can be put into a contract if both parties agree. In this case, Olympic style drug testing is not something that a so called “clean” athlete would not do if if meant making 30-40 millions dollars.

I guess all of you know Manny that you all trust him. I don’t any athlete. Floyd included, but you know what Floyd was willing to be tested randomly which is more than I can say for Manny.

Politicians in Vegas need to clean up boxing for the good of the sport and I think that Olympic style drugs test for championship fights should be a start.

Neither of these guys (Floyd, Manny) pay my bills. why should I take either one of the word that they are clean. I don’t trust any athlete in any sport. I love sport, but I wouldn’t be surprise about any athlete getting caught using steroids.

Steroids separate you from the competition. In USA words mean nothing. Even a confession to killing somebody if it was made under duress means nothing. It’s why everything in this country involves contract, word means nothing.

Manny is the one who has to clear his image. And if he doesn’t do random Olympic style testing people will always have doubt. Were Manny to stop using steroids and agree to Olympic style testing he would at least claim that he be the best steroid testing program around.

I do think he is a cheat. I think he afraid of losing badly without using steroids and then people would say that he lost badly because of steroids.

Even Freddy Roach shut his big mouth. James Toney who trains with Roach was caught using steroids. What did Roach say about that.

Manny need to step to the plate. By testing he has a chance to clear his name and he refuses. What is there to gain by doing that?

    I don’t he is clean.

elloco on December 27th, 2009 at 1:22 PM
  34. Manny, forget fighting Floyd in the ring. Floyd had his chance and blew it. Your fight with Floyd is in the courtroom, and you will win because your case for defamation by Floyd’s camp is STRONGER than their case that you are using steroids. They can give you a blood test right now and you would test clean, so that would be useless. And there is NO WAY that a US Court will ENFORCE a random at-any-time blood test on you while in the middle of training for a multi-million dollar fight, just to find out if you are ‘roiding. This is America. If you were to test POSITIVE for it, it is not PROOF that you had ‘roided in the past — the same as if you were to test NEGATIVE for it, it is not PROOF that you HADN’T ‘roided in the past. No court would do it. Sure there will be questions because jealous haters will ALWAYS try to cast doubt, but your legacy will TRANSCEND it because of the GOOD you have done for the sport of BOXING and for MANKIND.

Sue the pants out of Mayweather and win $100 mil. That way Mayweather will be forced to take all those other fights he has been evading in order to pay his debt. Teach him that using those below-the-belt tactics backfired, and instead of each of you making $30 mil you alone will make $100 mil at his expense, without even having to step foot in the ring. You don’t need Floyd Mayweather — he needs YOU, so don’t put a dime in his pocket. He doesn’t deserve it, always praising God with that filthy mouth of his. YOU are the PPV King, and we will continue to support your fights. Heck, little old black women who don’t even follow boxing are talking about watching your fights (see Time Magazine). Let Mayweather try to set up big PPV fights ON HIS OWN to pay off his debt — not to mention his taxes. If his name really is “Money”, then let’s see him do it without you.

    dago_gutz on December 27th, 2009 at 5:10 PM
  35. Manny and Arum are full of sh*t, and they are not suing nobody. They have no case.

Remember all those fools (baseball players) who said they were going to sue Jose Canseco for lying about them in his book? How many have actually sued him? None, and contrary to their defensive posture several chose the retirement route rather than being found out officially.

Remember Mosley’s testimony regarding the Balco debacle? Think before you answer, give my argument a chance, and perhaps you might come to the conclusion that Olympic testing may not be such a bad idea after all.

Manny is a cheat or has something to hide. There have been leaks from his own camp in the past, and these people may all be called to testify. Say for instance that there is someone who no longer in Manny’s camp but was there when Manny was juicing, a person like that can be call to testify.

Moreover, Floyd himself have not accused Manny as a cheat. It was Floyd’s dad. Golden Boy has done nothing wron either. They have not accused the Pacman.

Pacman is full of himself. He doesn’t fools me. He acts as if he the father of all Filipinos because he help out during a hurricane. He a spoiled asshole.

Boxing will go on without Manny and this fight. Floyd wasn’t asking for anything he wasn’t willing to do himself.

The idiot Arum set a deadline for Thursday and that passed . Now, there is another deadline for Monday set by Arum again. The old fart is fulled of it. Just make Manny vs Paulie and shut your fat mouth and stop giving deadlines. If you don’t want to do random tests move on with your “juiced” fighter. Sue if you want too, old fart.

  36. A mexican friend has taught me, one which I’ve come to appreciate quite a bit: “El que nada debe, nada teme…” My best attempt at translating that is, “He who owes nothing, fears nothing.” If Manny is clean there is nothing to fear. Other than the inconvenience of being randomly tested, which should not be much considering the amount of money involve.

  38. mayweather does not set the rules. manny has already stated he would go over and above the testing requirements but does not want blood taken right before the fight. considering almost everything is detectable through urine alone and he has agreed to have blood taken 3 times I fail to see the problem.

fyi EPO is detectable in urine, No athlete ever has tested pos for HGH with any form of test (the drug mayweather is supposedly worried about)

  39. And mosely was suposidly on non detectable (at the time)steroids that were also not detectable by olympic testing ex. marion jones

  40. Pacquiao does not want a blood test too close to the fight because he thinks it will weaken him. This may be a mental thing but it affects him. He can take the blood test 30 days before and immediately after the fight, maybe even five or three days before the fight (according to Freddie Roach) but not any closer. Why refuse a blood test when it may cost him $30 million? Because he already has $30 million. He earned at least $30 million in his last two fights. What is important to him is winning. He has to win the fight against Mayweather, for his legacy and for his country.

In this blood-test debate, Mayweather has no credibility. His motives are suspect; every one knows he will try get any advantage he can. He wants an uneven playing field, in his favor. Look what he did to Marquez. Marquez was already smaller and shorter, but Mayweather still cheated him of another two pounds (with the complicity of Golden Boy Promotions, we may add) to be sure of an easy victory.

  41. This is worth repeating.

Pacquiao refuses a blood test too close to the fight because he thinks it will weaken him. This is a mental thing, but it affects him.

Why refuse when it can cost him $30 million? Because he already has $30 million. He wants to win the fight, for his legacy and his country. He will not give Mayweather the unfair advantage that he seeks.

  42. The fact is that he DID have blood taken JUST 14 DAYS PRIOR to his fight with Ricky Hatton, an event which was documented on HBO’s 24/7 reality show !

  43. If you guys listen to the “Ring Talk Radio” show from this past Sunday, Ward stated that he was “never had his blood tested” for the Olympics. Floyd is full of crap…he himself doesn’t even understand the testing that he so rightfully wishes to impose on Manny. I think Manny should go ahead and take the test, but I can only speak for myself…he wants to win and he doesn’t want to give Floyd an unnecessary advantage. Considering he has never tested positive I will give him the benefit of the doubt here…he shouldn’t be forced into this fiasco considering the actual commission they are fighting under have their own standards, standards that Floyd has agreed to in a number of his own fights prior. So if he is worried that Manny is on steroids thats on him…but if Manny won’t agree to Floyd’s terms that doesn’t make him a cheat. He is only obligated to play by the rules already in place, and for your information boxers who have fought in states with commissions not as competent as Nevada have had fighters test positive for steroids…Urine tests are somewhat sufficient. There is no guarantee that even with testing any or all drugs can be detected. Steroids/PHO’s don’t help you take punches, don’t give you technique and probably don’t give you heavy hands, and don’t make you all of the silly advantages people think they do. They also don’t make up for a lack of work ethic. Look at Chavez JR, do you think those drugs helped him in his last fight? He made weight but as far as helping his fighting ability he actually regressed.

  44. Floyd Sr said that lil loyd can win even Pac not or even takes roids. Why they want to detect a substance on Pac.

  45. The old man was trying to make a lot of noise and show to his son and win him this time and even before they knew that sooner or later these guys gonna meet each other so its an integral excuse prepared by the father to his son when time comes, it shows that the old man knows his son is really scared of pacman.

  46. I mean think about it. The guy tells you he is scared of needles but he has like 6 tattoos. Lie. Then he says taking a test so close to the fight will drain him. But if YOU WATCH Pac/Hatton 24/7, you see a guy CLEARLY GIVING HIM A NEEDLE about 2 weeks (or less) before the Hatton fight. Another lie!

So if Manny is lying to you about these two things, WHY WOULD YOU TRUST HIM? Don’t tell me cause he never got caught. Yeah, neither did Mosley or Margarito until people got the inside info. Trust me, its the SPARRING PARTNERS that will tell you. I’m not gonna tell you which one. But I’m sure it will come out.

Lastly, look for Bob Arum to apologize VERY SOON because the 24/7 tape don’t lie baby!!

P.S. To elboy- that’s like asking if Cotto would fight Margarito by approving the handwraps. Come on dude! Think!!!

  47. According to Fightnews the blood test in question was 24 days prior to the fight vice 14 days and they have the lab sheet displayed to prove it. I’m not making an argument for or against the Olymnpic style testing FMJ wants. I’ve already done that previously. I’m just reporting the actual facts about the blood test that has been misreported

  48. To elloco,

Pacquiao did not reject blood testing out of hand. He agreed to have blood drawn at the press conference announcing a Mayweather fight, another one 30 days before and a third in his dressing-room immediately following the bout. So how can you say that he is cheater.

  49. OHH MY GOD PINOY FANS BELIEVE EVERYTHING MANNY SAYS, HE IS A MAN SO GUESS WHAT HE WILL LIE JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE. YOUR WORDS DON’T MEAN SHIT WHEN CONTRACTS ARE SIGNED OK (BUISNESS 101).Pacquiao Clause=10 million if Mayweather is overweight and floyd said ok. Mayweather’s Clause= Random blood testing up until the fight Manny said No(WHY)Only 30 days prior(Now changed to 14 days).OK people/kids those are the two released parts of the contract that they both requested. Floyd agreed to Manny’s proposal and Manny declined his. Thats all there is to it, and I support Mayweather 100% and 200% now that Manny has made up all these excuses. You can pull the wool over your eyes of filipinos but that shit don’t FLY in AMERICA JACK.Mayweather called you out and what did you do? I call it like I see it and all those excuses are lies(wolf tickets)and grown ups don’t buy those sorry MANNY YOU CAN’T FOOL ME. IF YOU BELIEVE MANNY AND THOSE EXCUSES YOU’LL BELIEVE ANYTHING. I’m glad Manny’s country supports him but you should not in this case cause he looks like a (CHEAT).I’M SORRY BUT WALKS LIKE A DUCK TALKS LIKE A DUCK ITS A DAMN DUCK. ITS A SHAME TO SEE HIS FANS TRY TO STICK UP FOR HIM WHEN HE IS RUNNING FROM BLOOD TESTING AND FOOLING THEM ALL. NO RESPECT UNLESS HE TESTS AND P.S. WHY DID FLOYD ASK FOR THIS TYPE OF TESTING LOL IS THE SAME REASON MANNY DID NOT TEST(HE’S DIRTY).
