GATTI’S DEATH RULED SUCICIDE! RELEASED WIFE TO INHERIT MILLIONS!

Recife, Brazil- Boxing star Arturo Gatti wasn’t murdered – he killed himself in a Brazil seaside resort three weeks ago, authorities said Thursday. The rough-and-tumble fighter’s wife, Amanda Rodrigues Gatti was released from jail after the ruling that Gatti, 37, committed suicide, the Associated Press reported.
A former exotic dancer, Mrs. Gatti, who discovered the body on July 11, was arrested after police theorized she had strangled the former world champion with her purse strap. Police suggested Gatti was too drunk to defend himself when he was killed.
But Brazilian state court Judge Ildete Verissimo de Lima in the city of Recife ordered Rodrigues’ immediate release after the new finding. The 23-year-old was on a second honeymoon with Gatti and their 10-month-old baby when he was found dead inside their hotel room in Porto de Galinhas.
Gatti, born in Montreal, trained in Jersey City, N.J., and found stardom on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. He captured his first title in 1995, by defeating junior welterweight champion Tracy Harris Patterson.
Note from Pedro: From my perspective, being a former law enforcement official, I find this conclusion hard to swallow. I still think Mrs. Gatti murdered her husband.

Pretty much the police are saying that because Gatti didn’t tap-out, he killed himself? Did they do an autopsey in Canada?
My question is after reading it on yahoo first it says he was found hanged and suspened (was he actually hanging from her purse strap and do they have crime scene pictures of this for proof) also this was the first time i seen this metioned i find it pretty shocking.

Brazil is notorious for corruption, especially with someone of their own against a “foreigner”.
Remember the Brazilian wife who bolted the U.S. and brought her U.S. born child to Brazil leaving the husband powerless to get the child back? Same thing. Authorities don’t want to cooperate.
You said from the get go that the folks down there will use their women to rope a dope and get his money. Looks like you might be right after all.
They need to come forward with WHY. Apparently he was found hanging, originally? It is hard to envision that girl hanging him from the ceiling. On the other hand, I can’t imagine Arturo killing himself…he never quit in the ring, no matter what. And what about how he was apparently stabbed? He stabbed himself in the back of the head?
The police need to be much more forthcoming with an explanation.
What a joke! I knew this was going to happen. However, I at least thought she would be charged. There was a nife wound in the back of his head, she didn’t notice he was dead for 10 hours. Now all of a sudden it’s a suicide. Give me a friggin break. As an American I demand justice!!!!!!!!
Brazil is a completely corrupt 3rd world country. Even if the authorities know she killed him it would not matter. She is Brazilian. He is nothing more than a foreigner. 3rd world countries are notoriously insecure and xenophobic.
The govt and police were bribed. This should make Americans think twice about vacationing in Brazil
I didn’t know Gatti had been found hanging; thought he was on the floor. This sounds fishy to me.
Now they are saying that the big about “hanging” didn’t come in until much later; not in the original report.
Joe Gatti is going to have a second autopsy.
This is going to get very interesting, especially if the Montreal autopsy comes back with something different.
I have no idea if Gatti had life insurance, will, etc. But I would assume if it is ruled a suicide his “widow” stands to benefit, if a homicide she would still benefit except if she committed the crime, but Brazil says there was no crime, other than the suicide.
